- Average worldwide power usage is currently around 16 terawatts; the solar flux on the Earth's surface is approximately 10,000 times this figure! Utilising the energy imparted by the sun a beautiful solution to the impending fuel crisis. The technology is still in its infancy and needs a good deal of research and development, but could certainly play a pivotal role in meeting the future demands of humanity.
